うさが購読している朝日新聞で、2019年3月18日から統計問題を焦点にした連載記事が全4回あった。その見出しが、次のようにあった。

見出しだけ見ても明らかなように、うさの住む国の統計は、信頼するに値しないことが
分かった。大きな声の新聞社がこの連載を掲載できたことが奇跡かもしれない。
うさは統計問題にきっかけに政治に無関心でいたことを反省しないといけないと思いました。
In the Asahi Shimbun to which I subscribed, there were four serialization articles focusing on statistical problems since March 18, 2019. The headline was as follows.

As is clear from the headlines, the statistics of the country I live in are not worthy of credibility
I understood. It may be a miracle that a high voice newspaper company could publish this series.
I thought I had to reflect on my indifference to politics in the wake of statistical problems.
