2019年3月23日朝日新聞13面に『政府統計 信じていい？』という大きな特集があった。統計のプロ3人がそれぞれの視点から意見を述べていた。
1.職員半減 プロ必要なのに
2.使い手次第で結果変わる
3.あくまで全体の見取り図
うさが読んで思ったことは、数値を平然と誤魔化すものが人々の生活に影響を与える統計を扱ってはいけないということ。
あたりまえのことだが、ニュースでながれる数値も疑うということも必要。
数値を出す側の意図を気にかけることが重要だと思った。

What I think is that those who falsify figures should not deal with statistics that affect people's lives.
