日本では、厚生労働省をはじめとする政府統計に対する問題が連日のニュースとなっている。このニュースを少しずつ追いかけていると受験勉強では学ばない歴史を知ることとができた。特に2019年2月18日朝日新聞朝刊3面のMONDAY解説に、
「政府統計は戦時中、情報統制のために秘匿され、当局の圧力でゆがめられた負の歴史がある。」と書いてあった。この事実を知れたとは良かった。
この記事の最後に「…国民が統計の精度や為政者による誤用に目を光らせることができる。」あった。
しかし、現時点では、うさだけなく無関心のひとは騙され続けるだろうと思う。
ちいさなことだけど、ちいさなニュースにも関心を少しでも向けて行こうと思う。

When I chased this news little by little, I could learn about the history I do not learn by taking an examination. In particular, on February 18, 2019 Asahi Shimbun newspaper MONDAY commentary on three sides,
"The government statistics are kept secret because of information control during wartime, there is a negative history distorted by pressure of the authorities." It was good that I learned of this fact.
